6 Meter and Amplifier problems on HF

Last weeks the propagation on 6 Meter was very poor , just working some PY stations . But the two beacons ZD7 and ZD8 are every evening very strong . So I worked ZD8S , but no activity from ZD7 . On HF I was active on 12 and 10 meter , but limited because of my SPE power amplifier have problems. Two relays  are failed on the PA-board ( K1 and K4) , my RX level is more than 18db less now. In feedback with the Spe manufactory in Italy , the problem is well know there . SPE  send my 2 new relays , but I have to go to Europe to get it together with other material before I can fix it all .
Temporarily, I am now in the air with a 18 dB less sensitive receiver and on all HF bands. It's quite possible, despite my stretch signal that I don't hear you , my apology.  Best 73 André

Nice 6 opening to USA

After some EU stations most EA and F , I there was a good path on 6 m to US . Started on 17:05  up to after 17:45  .  Unfortunately  I had a power cut- off till 18:20 therefore I missed several other US-stations ..... Hpe cuagn another time on this band  Best 73 ' André  ( at 50.095 in CW )

6 Meter ES to Eu and to W and VE / WP4

Today  October , 29,2014 , SFI index is still high 188 .  Es started very early , 13:00 UTC , I work some EU stations with my 6 elem . After I used my 8 elem LFA ( home brew ) fix direction to North America. Signal going up to 589 (cw) with many US stations and also VE ( Canada )  and also NP4 ( Puerto Rico ) . After 3.00 hours and working many stations I must go qrt ....  Hpe cuagn on this band  Best 73 ' André  ( at 50.095 in CW )

6 meter ES to VE and W

A nice  6 meter opening on October , 25 started  at 16:00 UTC worked in CW : YU, I ,YO , VE , YT  and EA8 , On October , 26  started at 14:55 UTC worked in CW and SSB  :  I , F , W , VE , GM , S5 ,EI , G , HB9 , GJ , EA , DL , PE , 9A.  . I will just ask it again , please South Europe give other ham's also the possibility to work C5... I try to work the States on 6 because of there was a very good Es-skip to the USA , but  Italy stations calling and calling non-stop  . Qso's with   Italy on 6 meter is possible 350 days in a year , working USA is only a few days possible in a year , think about this and give this Om's also the change to work C5 .... 6 meter to North America

Nice small opening today propagation was started around 14:00 utc . I worked all on CW from 16:10 utc : YT, YO, I,  and hrd in Maine by K1TOL with 59 . Turned my antenna to North America and worked  VE stations with signals 559 and receive also 569 .  ...... Hpe cuagn on this band  Best 73 ' André  ( at 50.095 in CW )

Es propagation on 6 meter

It seems that the propagation on 6 meter to Europe start everyday early . On October , 4,  I worked  4U1ITU in CW at 16:04 ,  that time there was also Es to 9A ,  I ,SV9 ( Crete) , EA6 . On October , 8 , Es propagation started at 15:25 I worked HA , 9A , I, S5 , LZ , EA , G , DL , F  . On October , 10  again a nice opening started at 14:35 I worked  : EA , TK , I  , F .  ...... 6 Meter

Hello,
After 1 week without any ES  this evening I worked on 6 meter : I , EA , F , S5 ,and G . signal were pretty strong .  I was also heard in EI  by EI3KD but no contact .  It is not easy to work on 6 meter into  EI and G  or other stations in the North of Europe .
I will ask : please Sud Europe let give this Om's  in the North also the change to work C5 on 6 meter ............. you find my most on  50.095 in CW ...   Hpe cuagnAndré

6 meter opening to East Europe

Very rainy day but suprise a small opening to East-Europe , worked 9A, HA ,S5 ,UW ,I, OK  and Hrd T77 ,  all in CW and only with 100 W  and with my temporary antenna just 1 meter above the roof , because it is to raininess for the final installation . Hi .. My CW freq : 50.095  Hpe cuagn 73 andré
