Public Transport in Belgium = Disaster

My wife and myself  must take the plane at 11h00 in the morning, three hours in advance we must be on the  airport for a intercontinental flight .
From my hometown to Brussels airport the distance is 150 km. 

For this distance , We need two days with Public Transport .
In my village there is a bus twice a day to a city where we can take a train.  In the morning at 7h30 and on the evening at 16h30 . We cannot take the bus in  the morning because from the bus station to the railway station is about 1h00 drive . To late for a train to the airport because from the train station to the airport is 1h30min . We will arrived on the airport and we will find out that the plane is already left.

So : We must take the bus on the evening , find a place to sleep near the airport for the night.

Cost for this poorly developed public transport in Belgium : Bus = 5 Euro + Train to a Hotel = 54 Euro + Hotel = 60 Euro (Hotel not to expensive ,15km from the airport)  + Train to the airport next day = 36  Euro ( include special tax when you go to the airport with the train ) .
Total price one way  :   155 Euro ....... 

Conclusion :
For which reason we should take public transport in Belgium, always not available  and secondly  to expensive .
By car ( Taxi) , it is easy , a lot faster and a lot cheaper.

Silent Key ON4LAC

Yesterday , November , 15, 2015 I received the bad news that a close friend has passed away. Jose , ON4LAC . He was more than 20 years a very good friend, someone who always listened, subdued and always very helpful. Active as radio amateur in  many countries  as :   F0CJY - DA1FJ - 9X5JC - ON8JC - 3B8/ON4LAC - 3B9/ON4LAC - FR/ON4LAC - TA4/ON4LAC - FG/ON4LAC
EA3/ON4LAC - C56JC - FM/ON4LAC .
I will miss him and will always remember him .

6 Meter Es season

The 6 Meter Es season is now almost on is maximum and still we have very poor propagation from West Africa..
In the month of May only a few days with ES and just to South and East Europe , only on May, 20  I worked into SM4 and 4X4 .
June is started a bit better . A good opening was on June, 3 this time to North America and Canada. Signal are coming up to 579 in CW but later there going down to just readable.

Hpe it will be better ..... You find me always on 50.095 in CW .

Short opening on 6 Meter

Finally , after 4 weeks without any propagation on 6 meter . On May, 17,2015 there was a short opening to YO , HA and S5. Signal where strong for HA and YO. Working only 1 station in S5. After 30 min the skip was over .

6 Meter

After more than 3 weeks there was again a small opening to South Europe on Monday, 20, April, 2015. I hope propagation will be improved the next days XXXXXX  fingers .

SPE 1K-FA Amplifier repaired

After many problems with my SPE 1k-Fa amplifier, finally I have repaired it  .The problem was the IN and Output relays on the PA board ( K1 & K4) ,these relays are of poor quality. ( Known by the company itself ) . I lost about 18db of  sensitivity when I go back from TX to RX in operate mode . I receive two new relays from SPE  and there are now replaced . To do this  job is not difficult when you following the instructions from SPE . ( Thanks SPE for the document )
The new relays are from  FINDER  Part No. 415290120010  .

After testing now 1 week its look fine , so far so good ....on reception .

Hello to all real Ham's ,

All QSL via my QSL manager is delayed, because very urgent family circumstances in the last few months . Normally start the outgoing QSL again from January, 15.2015.

Some of you sent me an E' mail and received the reason for the delay.

Unfortunately, some amateurs send negative comments on the cluster and this without knowing what the actual facts are. One of these "amateurs" is : F5MNW
A simple email to me would be a sign of  ham spirit. However ham spirit is something unknown from F5MNW  ???
